Description
A delightful visit on 18th July 2017.

Although there's not much of Brampton Bryan Lady Well to see, there's enough for the enthusiast to enthuse about, and the walk through the parkland from the village green with its amazing yew hedge, there are plenty of grand mature trees which are a marvel to see.

You quickly feel removed from the usual world even with a few farm / park vehicles going past. The land here around the Herefordshire / Shropshire / Radnorshire borders gets very vibey in places for me, and this was no exception.

The housing of the well is still intact but beginning to crumble. You can see into the well through missing bricks in its side, as well as an aperture in the cast iron top through which one assumes the pins would have been dropped.

It's a short deviation off the through-path in the park; one assumes this is OK with landowners - there is no signage to advise of not to visit the well and there were some estate workers chopping up some wood a short distance away and didn't indicate in any way I ought not to be looking at the well.

Camera phone picture taken peering in through the aperture in the top, side-lit by the missing masonry.
