This is classified by Magicmap as a Bowl Barrow http://www.magic.gov.uk/rsm/23707.pdf It is situated on very wet peat moorland 1.5km from Pikestones cairn. Construction material revealed in eroded areas is a mixture of earth and small stones, materials which are now scarce in this deeply peat covered area. The site is unexcavated but flints have been found in the eroded areas.
