View from a cairn on Hallin Fell towards Dunmallard Hill Settlement. We could see the prominent Dunmallard Hill settlement at Pooley Bridge at the end of Ullswater.Apparently Dunmallard is known as the Hill of Slaughter and is the remians of an Iron Age Hill Fort with banking and a ditch.
