God's Spring is situated to the east of Houndkirk Road south of the former site of Oxdale Lodge - a moorland farm shown in early OS mapping. On the afternoon I visited the spring, pure water was bubbling out of the source. Legend has it that this spring never dries up. It is easy to imagine that it was venerated in ancient times.
