Amenemhat III Pyramid at Dashour.

Amenemhat III was the 6th Pharaoh of the 12th Dynasty. This Pyramid lies 800 meters East of the bent pyramid at Dashour. It apparently started collapsing as it neared completion after 14 years of construction. It is largely built of mudbricks and no stone structural elements are visible other than a few casing blocks.
Several other 12th Dynasty Pharaohs built pyramids at Dashour.
The local Antiquities discourage the longish hike across the desert, but can be encouraged to look the other way.
