"There are thought to be several Bronze Age cairns in the undergrowth which are not recorded properly. Join Matt Williams of Fern Heritage and Archaeology to help locate, survey and record these features. Over the 2 days, we are also planning to carry out some work to encourage walkers to stay on the main public footpath, as an unofficial short cut is damaging the edges of an important scheduled cairn.
No experience is necessary to get involved, but booking is essential, and sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing a must. Please email Matt via [email protected]. "
