It is speculated in Canmore ID 14280 that the Balnuaran of Clava (Stone) located c. 200m NE of the famous Clava Cairns could be the sole remaining stone of a destroyed Clava Cairn. It is possible, given the number of cairns concentrated in a small area. PS The grid reference for Balnuarin of Clava (Stone) as recorded by Canmore is NH 7594 4461, more than 100m further E than than NH 758 446, the grid reference given for this site.
