I am a Penn, and when I was doing genealogical research, Lady Godiva came up as Godiva Attapenn, that being her family name, which later became Penn. I found this cross mention rather exciting.
I have a photo of two Penns from the 1870's, a man and I assume his daughter, some relation of Anne Nelson Walsh Penn, taken at a photographer's in Margate. Perhaps an uncle and cousin of my grandmother. She did have an uncle who had emigrated to Kokomo, Indiana and she herself moved there in 1924 with my grandfather, William Genders, my father and my uncle.
