I visited this site yesterday August 5th 2018; sadly it has been vandalised with bottles left lying in and around it and evidence of fires been set within the well . Some of the masonry has been demolished and left in situ by obviously thoughtless vandals. It could do with a plaque to state exactly what it is.
Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
