Why Canmore states that Dun Carnachaidh stands on a cliff, I cannot imagine.
This broch sits on a shelf on a grassy hillside about 25 metres above the Strathnaver road and just 90 metres west of it.
The broch, which cannot be seen from the road itself, still exhibits interesting stretches of its lower two courses around the southern arc, with some impressively large boulders still in place.
Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
