Findings of prehistoric site excavation presented by bat400 on Monday, 02 September 2013

Professional archaeologist Lyle Browning discussed the site at a May 2013 meeting of the Wolf Hills Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Virginia. Browning discussed the site's features and what archaeologists found there. The site represents the chapter's longest, most extensive and "arguably most significant project,"

Browning is working to prepare the final site report for publication. Friday's talk was a preview of that report. Browning said he had to develop and apply new analytical techniques to distill data from the tens of thousands of ceramic artifacts unearthed during the excavation.
