Re: St Andrew's Well (Storgursey) by hamstermoon on Sunday, 22 February 2009

My partner and I visited in 2008 and found this running enthusiastically, possibly due to the recent wet summers. As we were standing about admiring the water flow, and wondering if something like this was still safe to drink, one of the locals came with bottles and filled them up. She said they were having a children's party and had just run out of water to dilute the squash and had come to get some more. Heartened by this we also had a glassful. You can certainly taste the chalybeate although its not as strongly 'diluted rusty nails' as the Red Well at Glastonbury.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
