Heath Brow Barrows
Heath Brow Barrows submitted by SolarMegalith : Barrow A with a pillbox built into it during the WW II - view from the SE (photo taken on December 2011). (Vote or comment on this photo)
Barrow Cemetery in Hampshire. A Bronze Age barrow group on Heath Brow consists of 7 burial mounds located west from Aldershot (6 bowl barrows and 1 probable bowl barrow). The largest barrow has been partly damaged by construction of a World War II pillbox.

Barrow A (SU 82094939) – it is partly damaged with a pillbox which has been dug into it, but still impressive and has 16 m in diameter.

Barrow B (SU 82094938) – second barrow of the western alignment, located to the south of Barrow A. It is 0,6 m high and 8,5 m in diameter.

Barrow C (SU 82084936) – third bowl barrow of the western alignment of 4 bowl barrows. It is 0,6 m high and 10 m in diameter.

Barrow D (SU 82094935) – a very small bowl barrow of 5 m diameter and less then 0,5 m high. The final barrow of the western alignment.

Barrow E (SU 82164939) – earlier reports describe it as a disc barrow, later ones as a bowl barrow. I think the latter possibility is more probable, because of relatively significant size of the barrow (14 m of diameter and 1,2 m of height).

Barrow F (SU 8221 4932) – partly leveled bowl barrow, now 0,6 m high.

Barrow G (SU 82224930) – a bowl barrow of 8 m diameter.

Dimensions of the barrows based on the entry from Pastscape.
