Round Barrow(s) in Yorkshire (North)

A bronze age round barrow located on the south side of Lealholm Moor with broad views overlooking Eskdale (North Yorks) it also has inter visibility with other barrows in the surrounding area This is Historic England List Entry Number 1018745 which tells us that it is a large round barrow 16m in diameter standing up to 1.5m high. That on the south side of centre there is a 1m deep hollow, 3m across at its base and 5m in diameter at its top. This hollow was left by an antiquarian excavation, the spoil from which now forms a lobe on the south side of the mound. This lobe includes two large stones both 1.5m across and at least 0.4m thick. Myself I don’t quite see it like that, I just see the two large stones lying on the ground to the south of the barrow.

Pastscape has much the same information at Monument 28778
