A waymarker on Smith’s Lane probably C18 according to Historic England LIST ENTRY 1148787 historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1148787

JohnDHunter: My rough measurements make the stone about 4½ ft high and 5ft wide. The thickness varies from about 16 inches at the bottom to 10 inches at the top. The stone is in Egton Civil Parish (just). It lies just to the east of the boundary line which follows the road on Yarlsey Hill. Historical OS maps do not show this stone
