Boars Low submitted by twentytrees : Also known as Bowers Low, Rose Low and Bose Low (which may be a typo) this scheduled (13321) well preserved Bowl Barrow is immediately adjacent to the Buxton - Ashbourne Road (A515) at the turning into Tissington. The barrow is 3m high, measuring 25x24m. Excavated by Lucas in the 1860's it was found to contain a cremation and a contracted inhumation, and a later Anglian burial. Possibly best ...
