Rock Art in Northumberland

There are two rock art panels here with the same grid reference:

Doddington Sheepfold A which has a cup with single ring located on a rocky crag, currently covered with a forest.

For more information see England's Rock Art entry for ERA-21 Doddington Sheepfold A, which includes a description, photographs, a sketch of the rock and its motif, plus photogrammetry and media from the Beckensall Archive.

Doddington Sheepfold D, which has a single cup with a groove. For more information see England's Rock Art entry for ERA-22 Doddington Sheepfield D, which includes a description, photographs, a sketch of the rock and its motif, plus photogrammetry and media from the Beckensall Archive.

For both panels also see Beckensall's entry on Doddington Sheepfold A and Beckensall's entry on Doddington Sheepfold D [please note these links do not work at present; it will be updated shortly].

Please note these rock art panels are located on private land.

Note: Please note Doddington Sheepfold B could not be located during the survey. Doddington Sheepfold C is recorded as having a penannular round a small cup, but no grid reference is given. Can you help locate these rock art panels?
