Knock Hill Stone Circle
Knock Hill Stone Circle submitted by PeteCrane5 : The small stones of of Knock Hill circle in early spring .... as the grass grows the stones become less visible (Vote or comment on this photo)
This small stone circle lies at the south of Knock Hill. The circle of seven stones sits on the edge of a mature Scots Pine woodland. One stone is said to be missing, and four of the stones are thought to have fallen over slightly but are still close to their original positions.

This site is recorded as Canmore ID 181046, 'Knock Hill', which includes a 2001 entry which says: "A small stone circle lies on the lower SE-facing slope of Knock Hill, on the edge of an area of Scots Pine and at an altitude of 230m OD. There are seven stones, with one missing. Four of the stones have fallen over slightly but are still close to their original positions. The tallest, which has tipped over, is about 1m high and stands on a slightly raised area. To the SE are two other raised areas which may represent hut platforms; these are roughly circular with a substantial stone content on the outer edge. The area is to be fenced."
