Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Herefordshire

Although still marked on the appropriate O/S map the well has now been tanked and the delightful bathing pool used by rheumatics shown in Leather’s Folk-lore of Herefordshire has been filled with concrete. All that can be seen is the head of St Peter peering from the undergrowth. What is left can be found off the Madley Road just beyond Wellbrook and then located beside the footpath and tack to The Wells Cottage.
