Cairn in Powys

Cwmbiga long cairn isn't far from the road, less than five minutes, but a small stream must be crossed, I quickly tip toed through it whilst carrying my water shy Jack Russell. Even when your standing near it it isn't immediately apparent as the whole woods is carpeted thickly by lush vegetation, ferns, mosses and some heather. Just look for the highest ground, that will be the cairn. Its about 17 meters long and not quite a meter high. Two pits dug into the cairns body reveal the stones used in its construction.

Coflein site no. 405130.
