The settlement dates to the Iron Age. It is located on a small hilltop that overlooks the Mawddach estuary. The enclosure is rough!y rectangular and measures 105m NE/SW and 77m transversely. An earthen enclosure bank is evident in the N and NE sides surmounting and enhancing the summit of the hilltop. The earthen enclosure bank has a width of 3m and a maximum interior height of 1m. An entrance is marked by a simple gap in the bank on the E side. To the S of the entrance the bank is reduced in height and composed of earth and stone. A steep scarp provides a natural defence on the SW side. The interior of the enclosure is relatively flat but it sits on two levels. The interior is heavily overgrown hinting only at the presence of hut circles.
