There's a lay-by off the northbound carriageway of the A833 at approximately NH497316 which was really handy for parking. A very short walk up the road then you can turn left onto the farm tracks that lead to the monument.

There are a few gates to open so make to sure to close them on the way through.

This ruined Clava type cairn is situated high above Glen Urquhart.
There are a few circle stones to the east and the entrance of the remains of the passage is aligned to where the sun sets in early November and February. This occurs some 45 days before and after the winter solstice.

Carn Daley (NH49443145) is a Clava passage grave sited on a gentle SE facing slope giving extensive views to the south and east. The cairn has been robbed of much material, and stones have been piled in the centre, but the kerb of boulders remains extant on the south and SW side, where the curve is somewhat flattened.

Clava passage graves are distinguished by their surrounding circle of monoliths. Here the circle is considerably depleted; one stone and the stump of another remain, however, on the south side of the cairn.

Access is by way of a farm track leading off the A833 from Drumnadrochit to Beauly and then through two pasture fields, a walk of about half a mile.
