Mynydd Graig Goch Round Cairn
Mynydd Graig Goch Round Cairn submitted by TAlanJones : The conical walker cairn at top of the round cairn. (Vote or comment on this photo)
A substantial cairn situated on the southern lower promontory of the summit of Mynydd Graig Goch, Gwynedd. It's location suggests that it was to be viewed from Cwm Pennant to the south east. The cairn has an 11m diameter and it is 2m high. Mynydd Graig Goch is the most westerly peak of the Nantlle Ridge. At 2000 feet it is also the smallest peak along the ridge. Nevertheless the views are breathtaking.

There is a recent conical walker's cairn on the top. However the original cairn is defined on the north by a kerb of large slabs that provide a defined edge.
