Ancient Cross in Cornwall

I'm pretty sure it's a fallen unusually angular cut cross. I was about to give up on it when I noticed it lying next to me. Didn't want to furtle about and damage it so it would be great to get some confirmation from someone less likely to be distracted by moss and bluetits.

Searching through my "Stone Crosses in East Cornwall" book, by Andrew Langdon (2005), there is an entry for the cross at this position with the name "Halvana Cross".

Summarising this:
Now missing, presumed stolen. Mutilated cross first recorded in 1906. Original position unknown. Cut down head and previously used as a gatepost. Extremely difficult to locate. October 1987 removed by mechanical means and now missing. Scheduled ancient monument, thus a criminal offence. Author convinced the cross is still in the locality, possibly in a garden. Height 3'9", width of head 1'5", width of shaft at neck 11", width at base 1'2", thickness 8" to 10".

It also has a Heritage Gateway entry as Halvana Moor Cross. I will rename it on the sitepage.

From the Heritage Gateway entry.
Summary : Halvana Moor cross, was situated on the east side of a Forestry Commission plantation, and was a mutilated and weathered wheel-headed cross bearing an incised cross upon its face. The head of the cross had been sliced off on one side, perhaps to enable it to be used as a gatepost, although it was thought to be in situ. It was lying on the ground for many years in its present position, until re-erected in 1895 by the vicar of Altarnun. It stood 3ft. 9 ins. high and 15 inches across the head. The shaft was 13 inches across at the centre, widening towards the bottom. It was formerly on open moorland where a track is shown on the OS 1st Edition 1", crossing the moor from North-West-South-East. Field investigation shows it to have been destroyed between 1983-1996.
