Trellyffaint is a double tomb with a large and small chamber lying side by side. The capstone of the main chamber, which has up to 35 cupmarks carved on its surface, is supported by two stones on the south and another closing the back of the chamber on the north side. The smaller chamber is now represented by just three sidestones.
Trellyffaint translates as "Home of the Toads" as is thought to refer to the story of a local man called Sisillus Long Leg who was plagued by (and eventually eaten by) a large number of toads!
