Tregeseal C
Tregeseal C submitted by thecaptain : The central Tregeseal circle, was destroyed by the farmer in 1961 because it was "in the way". However, 4 of the stones remain in the field hedge which takes in a part of the arc of the circle. These are two of the stones. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Tregeseal Stone Circles, also known as the Dancing Stones, or Nine Maidens, are the remains of what was definitely a pair, or perhaps even three adjacent circles in an east to west arrangement. They are to be found at the southern edge of the open moorland above Tregeseal, and below Carn Kenidjack.

The remains of the central of three circles at Tregeseal were still in existence until 1961, when the local farmer wanted to clear the field for ploughing, and the stones were “in the way”, and the final destruction was done.

However, not all is gone, as four of the stones can still be seen in the stone hedge that surrounds the field, three on the outside face, and one on the internal wall.

Tregeseal C
Tregeseal C submitted by Bladup : Tregeseal C, One of the former Circle Stones dumped on the wall, For what it's worth it's still on the Circumference of the former Stone Circle. It was certainly the far end of this stone that was once placed in the ground as that end is still slightly discoloured from the 1000's of years it spent in the ground, It also looks slightly worked so the stone would be more secure in the ground, Carn Be... Tregeseal C submitted by Bladup : Tregeseal C, I see since thecaptains photo the stone on the right of this stone is now overgrown, I'll free it when i'm next there!

Tregeseal C
Tregeseal C submitted by skuaimages : This is a map from about 1998 when i dowsed the tregeseal nine maidens very thoroughly - including the neighbouring field to the sw. The circle on the right is the existing partial circle. The other two are the ones i dowsed over the hedge (shown) to the west. I have never seen the crop mark evidence for these two circles that allegedly existed many years ago.

Tregeseal C
Tregeseal C submitted by thecaptain : A third of the remaining stones of the central Tregeseal circle, almost completely destroyed in 1961.
