Cousane
Cousane submitted by frogcottage42 : Looking from the South. This is an odd circle and may have been disturbed during peat cutting. It axis appears to be rotated as if one portal has been uprooted and placed next to the other. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Stone Circle in Co.Cork. This circle appears in good condition but there is little doubt that it has been modified during peat cutting. Tom Bullocks photos from 1997 show the stones all laid on their sides and the alignment is atypical for these five stone circles. Condition 3 Ambience 4 Access 3 W11205670

The stones are probably original and their location has been preserved but any archaeological context has surely been lost but this does not detract from a great location and good access.

Cousane submitted by frogcottage42 : This small five stone circle sits on a low mound in a cut-away peat bog. Easily reached over well maintained pasture. The sheep farm is on the R585 and permission to view the circle is readily granted to polite enquirers. (Vote or comment on this photo)
