Rock Cut Tomb in Sardinia (Sardegna)

A great rock cut tomb, Sardinian Neolithic 'domus de janas', that has been reused in the Nuragic period by carving the façade as a 'tomba di giganti'. This is a type that is found especially in the area of Sassari, northern Sardinia. The tomb is located on the side of the plateau of Giorrè, where there is a Nuragic sacred area.
