Grousemount circle

Ancient site in Kerry. This is not really a stone circle. There are four stones arranged in a rectangle with the NE/SW pair forming an alignment with the midwinter sunset. There is a very deliberate notch in the top of the SW stone and this when viewed over the NE stone points to a visual overlap of a ridge and a summit behind which the midwinter sun descends.

The SE stone has a large notch out of it's SW side which possibly aligns with a sloping part of a ridge to the SE following the path of moonrise at it's 18 year maximum ( there is a similar alignment at the circle in Dromagorteen) The NW stone is almost invisible below the grass and only stands .3m high.

Looking for information on the Sweeney family that once lived in Grousemount. My father n law just passed away and I was looking at pictures of the place his mother and father grew up.
