Dolmen de la Jaudonnière submitted by Rubis : Dolmen de la Jaudonnière Site in Pays de la Loire:Vendée (85) France. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Mentioned in the booklet Le dolmen à couloir dit « la Ciste des Cous » à Bazoges-en-Pareds (Vendée) written by Roger Jousseaume, this passage grave was as huge as the dolmen de Pierre Folle and the Ciste de Coux, less than one kilometer away.

This dolmen is not a listed monument and has been excavated in 1975 by Roger Jousseaume but nothing of note was found.

It was also excavated in 1915 by Marcel Baudoin and L. Rousseau, professional archaelogists and members of the famous Société de l'Archéologie, who were the first ones to talk about this site. Unfortunately, it has now been levelled.

The archaelogists didn't give a name to this site so I put the names of the two localities where it stands. This site is now enclosed and there are a shed and some cows which have the chance to be near the stones!!!!
