An enormous round barrow, with a diameter of appr. 40m. It is easily visible on aerial photos.
Translated from Danish:
1975 Private inspection
Unspecified Institution
Tåsinge antiquities, No. 75: A group of 4 barrows [sb. 9-9C] with the colossal Ingershøj as the all dominant center is superbly located on the ridge which protrudes north from Bregninge hill. Ingershøj is undisputed the island's largest, most beautiful and best preserved barrow, comparable with the best. And yet it has been even more beautiful because it has previously been guarded by a circle of large kerbstones. These and some of the barrow foot was removed for approx. 100 years ago. Furthermore, the grave robbers made a bad mess in the 1700, but this injury seems to be restored. The mound has never been expertly investigated and therefore there are not reported any discovery of antiquities her.
1983 New inspection of protected sites Forest and Nature Agency, 10 office Monumental large barrow, 6.8 x 41.0 x 40.0 m., on the ridge. Visible in the distance from several coasts and waters around Funen, Tåsinge and Thorø an others. Others it affects the experience of the landscape in a very large area, but unfortunately it's overgrown with trees and shrubs which must be removed and kept down by care. The barrow foot has been overplowed in older times. In the same field, and field to the North: At least 5 large barrows has been plowed over. Condition: 1983: Shrub and Deciduous trees
As of now the shrub and trees are held down and represents no problems. Even the ridge is a nice place to visit these days.
Unless you're staying at the camping place, the best access way is the dirt road from the main road at N 55º 02.132' E 010º 36.825'
