SandyG visited on 5th Sep 2016 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 5 Access: 3 Roadside car parking is available at NC 79171 35108. From here walk west across the open moorland for about 900m to the row. The ground is uneven and a map essential.
The largest stone in the alignment stands 0.73m high. In many of the multiple rows the tallest stones are at the lower end.
Most of the stones are tiny and are only visible because of the sparse vegetation. For more information see Canmore ID 6113.
Update October 2019: This alignment is featured on the Stone Rows of Great Britain website - see their entry for Cnoc Molach, which includes a description, a simplified plan of the alignment, photographs of the stones showing their proximity and relationship to Loch Badanloch and Cnoc Molach, access information and a list of online resources for more information. The SRoGB tells us this is: "A fan-shaped multiple stone row measuring 16.2m long, including at least 28 small and medium-sized stones arranged in at least 8 separate lines and situated on a gentle south west facing slope overlooking Loch Badanloch".
The row is also recorded n the Highland HER as MHG10701 (Stone Rows, Cnoc Molach). The SRoGB adds: "The Loch Rimsdale stone alignment is situated in the trees in the background and the two rows would have originally been intervisible".
