Croix des Douze Apôtres
Croix des Douze Apôtres submitted by minteddy : Croix des Douze Apotres at Rungleo. This is about 100 metres north of minor road between Hopital Camfrout and Loganna Daoulas. Rungleo is about 600 metres west of St Marguerite. As can be seen the stone is located in a wooded area and it faces north so not easy to take a good photograph in summer. Croix des Douze Apôtres
Croix des Douze Apôtres submitted by minteddy : Croix des Douze Apotres at Rungleo. This picture shows Christ over the 12 apostles. There are four apostles on each row below Christ. Christ appears to be holding a ball. Is this supposed to be the earth? If so the carving of the menhir must surely be after 1492. (1 comment - Vote or comment on this photo)

Croix des Douze Apôtres
Croix des Douze Apôtres submitted by minteddy : Croix des Douze Apotres at Rungleo. This view is taken from the west side of the menhir. The height of the menhir must be about 3 metres to the top of the cross. Possibly stone with cross is about 2.2 metres. It is diccifult to judge because the roadway is sunk below the level of the base of the menhir. (Vote or comment on this photo)
