A footpath starts at Castallack Farm on a narrow Cornish lane. I parked carefully opposite the footpath in front of 2 houses. Follow the footpath NW for c. 350 yards to Castallack Round: depending on the season the SE entrance may be blocked by vegetation.

Castallack Round
Castallack Round submitted by Bladup : Another view of the Large upright stones to the North East of the South East entrance at Castallack Round. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Castallack Round is a good example of a late Iron Age or Roman period Round (farm settlement), despite it having been partly destroyed in the 19th-century. It has massive original walling on the east side and also a little on the west side. The entrance has huge upright stones and is found on the south-eastern side.

A broken granite quern 14" in diameter lies near the centre of the round. Just to the north a circular curve in the modern wall is claimed to be part of a hut circle, An upright stone on the north side of this feature looks like it could be an entrance jamb.
