Martinhoe Beacon Roman Fortlet submitted by Bladup : Lidar image of Martinhoe Beacon Roman Fortlet at SS66304933, Martinhoe Beacon Roman Fortlet, was excavated in 1960-1961 by Fox and Ravenhill. There is a small square centre enclosure, fortified with a rampart and double ditches, with a third rampart and ditch about 21.34 metres away on the landward side, forming a roughly circular outer enclosure.
