Tealing Stones submitted by hamish It's such a shame that this is allowed to happen. A total lack of thought by those concerned.
Tealing Stones submitted by hamish This is the smaller stone, it was completely covered by cut down gorse bushes when I arrived. I tried to pull them off but they were too heavy.
Tealing Stones submitted by hamish This is the large stone seen edge on. The ambience of the site has diminished by the local farm piling cut gorse bushes over the stones.
Tealing Stones submitted by cosmic Tealing Standing Stones in Angus at NO-416397 are more round than most standing stones. The larger one is about five feet high by the same across. The smaller one is about half that size. They are reached up a track from the cottages below Huntingfaulds.

Tealing Stones submitted by Nick Take the A929 north from Dundee towards Tealing. Turn off before Tealing at Tinkletap, and park in the yard (ask permission). Take the track north to the old shed, then west towards another track running SW/NE. 50 metres NE up this track the stones lie up on the left. This pair of stones is not very impressive, with no cup marks or rings visible, but the view from their location is fine.

Re: Tealing Stones (Score: 1) by Circind on Monday, 09 August 2004 (User Info | Send a Message) | | Have recently visited the Tealing Stones, and noticed just above the area on the hill top to be a cluster of large stones. This reminded me of a Hill fort or Clachan, I wondered if anyone had any info or ideas ? | [ Reply to This ]
