This was an unbroken line of trees when I visited a few months previously, now some are blown down, - one has landed on circle 'B'. Notice the trig point pillar at the left which stands at the top of a step bank down to the roadside. Stone Circle in Angus. A single unsculptured stone standing 1.4m high in a pasture field near the edge of a steep bank above the south side of the road from Kirkton of Kingoldrum to Meikle Kenny. It is reported to have been part of a set of stones which were removed about 1842.

This site is Meikle Kenny 'A'. The two neighbouring circles, both four-posters now reduced to three stones, lie in the woodland immediately west of the stone; 'B' is 42.0m NE, 'C' is a further 42.0m NE.
There is an Ordnance Survey trig point pillar about 10m NNE.

When I clicked your link, the Streetview which appeared does not show the stone site or the trig point because it is out of sight to the left. If you swing the view left, the trig point location is right at the highest point at the end of the ridge, immediately in front of the trees. At this distance I couldn't make it out at all.
Sorry the photos I posted of the B and C circles are so poor, I will definitely revisit these sites to try again but this may have to wait till the fallen trees are cleared. Hopefully now that you've got them on The Portal someone with a better camera will visit.

    OK, I've taken my street view link off. If you can get it visible, click on "Link" in Street View, then "Paste HTML to embed in website" and paste that in as a comment.

      Here is a view centred on the trig pillar - it's useless, the trig pillar is just a blob on top of the ridge.

      Why don't we use the aerial view? The Google Maps picture is very clear here and would save people from having to go use up Wheresthepath OS map allowance. Speaking of Wheresthepath, I will post a splitscreen (OS/aerial) view as a jpg. Let's see if anyone thinks this is helpful or not.

        Thanks, you can get to the aerial view with a single click from the links above so I've not added it to the gallery. I will probably add a direct link to Where's the Path too if a lot of people use it.
