St. Martins submitted by peigimccann : One of the St Martin's stone circle remnants. The stones were put on the edge of the field next to the road; I don't know how long ago. There appear to be more than nine of them. (Vote or comment on this photo)
A destroyed stone circle near St Martin's in Perthshire. There several stone remnants remaining around the edge of the field.

If you drive up the track from St Martins towards Damside/Kingswell farms, you'll see some large stones on the west side of the track by the fence. Those are also thought to be remnants of it.

Re: St. Martins by Anonymous on Thursday, 21 March 2024
I wonder if evidence for the 'sockets' of these stones remains within the soil? Would be great if someone could scan the field during the winter - is there a local or nearby college or University that could be appraoched?

If this was my field, this would be a priority, followed by the replacing of the stones.

Nice find, and thanks from Somerset

This circle (or alignment) no longer exists. If you drive up the track from St Martins towards Damside/Kingswell farms, you'll see some large stones on the west side of the track by the fence. That's the remains of it...
