    Nice to see the Dowally Stones listed. I used to live in Dowally Cottage during WW 2. At that time the main road ran on the E. side very close to the cottage and our garden where the stones stood.

    It was said that a face could be seen on one of the stones but I could never make it out. It was probably an irregulaity of the rock surface rather than an artifact.

    Much has changed in Dowally but the Stones are still there.
