Chambered Cairn in Highlands

Mullach An Tuir was only rediscovered in 1995 during a pre-felling woodland survey. Located on a slope, a short steep path leads up from A831 to the site. It is large cairn, measured to be some 1.5m high and15m in diameter. There is a possible entrance and while there is no obvious inner or outer boulder kerb it has been suggested that it may be similar to a Clava-type cairn…. Corrimony and Carn Daley are both relatively nearby.
