Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Lower Saxony, Bremen
In 1950 workers found a bronze needle at the Apenteichquellen. Afterwards archaeologists excavated the whole site founding a large flint axe, a stone axe, remains of three bronze rings and a brooch. Situation and location of the items suggest the assumption, that the site was a holy well and the items were sacrifices. The well was probably used from the neolithic over the bronze age, to the iron age.
