Neshaugen is a huge round barrow that today is almost totally flattened and located inside the modern cemetery at Nes church. The barrow is still visible but have once been much taller in height and was a very beautiful tall barrow described already in 1537 as a "giant barrow".
The barrow is around 35-40 metres in diameter and have once been 5-6 metres in height. Today it elevates around 70cm to 1 metre in height and is covered with modern graves.
The church and barrow is located on a hill with a great view over Norsjø lake and the grenland valley.
