Gluesing Huegelgrab
Gluesing Huegelgrab submitted by holger_rix : A Round Barrow near Gluesing. You pass Gluesing on the way from Schalkholz to Hennstedt. This barrow is close to the road, you just enter a small pathway parallel to the street, and there is a small 40m x 60m bush. (Vote or comment on this photo)
You pass Gluesing on the way from Schalkholz to Hennstedt. This barrow is close to the road, you just enter a small pathway parallel to the street, and there is a small 40m x 60m bush.

Strange find: in front of the bush, an overgrown iron gate. What for? And inside the bush, the Round Barrow, approx 5m high, 25m diameter.

It was not what I expected. I had hoped for some information about the golden disk of Gluesing..

quote:
Schleswig-Holstein: Aus Gluesing (Kreis Dithmarschen) kennt

Datierung: Nordische Bronzezeit Periode II
Grabfund, vergesellschaftet mit einem bronzenen Vollgriffschwert,
zwei bronzenen Absatzbeilen und einem bronzenen Dolchblatt
hier sind tatsaechlich Reste einer Bronzeunterlage belegt
Verzierung: kleiner, mit fuenf Kreisrippen eingefasster Buckel,
von dem strahlenfoermig sechs gerippte Baender abgehen.
Zone radial angeordneter konzentrischer Kreise.
Zwei von Kreisen gefasste, quergestreifte Baender.
Durchmesser: 19.5 cm
