Ancient temple's stone bowls in Vashisht near Manali
Located to north of Vashisht village 3 Kilometres north of Manali and near a beautiful waterfall there is a shrine used by sadhus (Hindu ascetics). An ancient ceremony is conducted here which involves the village's three year old children having their hair shorn and meals of rice and lentils offered to the sadhus. The ancient stone bowls at this shrine are still in use in this ceremony.
