mfrincu visited on 1st Apr 2013 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 3 Access: 4 There are other smaller menhirs nearby. Take your time and explore a bit the surroundings.
Ancient 2.5 Meter tall Menhir with 1883, 1945 and a 3 eagle seal carved into it when it began to serve as a demarcation marker with Departement de la Moselle. 1 Km North of Town. Take D143 west towards la Haube and take 3 road North up the hill. Park car at the base of Military communications tower and walk 1 Km North on hiking trail. Turn Right (North west) at marked location to walk further 260 meters on secondary tgrail through the wooods to reach the Menhir.
