Runestone in Vest-Agder
This small runestone is located in a stone fence just next to a playschool for kids. On the other side of the fence is a small wheat field and a small footpath leads to the stone. It can be difficult to see from distance since the stone is surrounded by large leaf trees and some small brush.
The stone is 1,48 meters in height, 45cm wide at the base and 38cm at the top, it is 30cm thick at the base and 12cm thick at the top. The sides appear to be smooth and the runic inscription follows one of the narrowest sides. The stones is dates to around 1000AD. The inscription is interpreted to mean: "Here was a change of land." The runestone might be a stone dividing two properties and not a gravestone like many other runestones. It could also be a much older standing stone and used as a boarder stone marker and the runes have been added later. The runic inscription was not possible to see when I visited the site, it has probable weathered or eroded away, only a few lines were visible.
