Ancient burial ground in d.Kurevaniha, Russia - a complex of mounds in r.Mologa
Considered to be one of the largest burial complexes in the Vologda region. The complex of mounds is in d.Kurevaniha in Ustyuzhna district, near the confluence of r.Kast in r.Mologa.
These mounds are well known from the 19th century. Burial mounds scattered over an area of about 2 km in length. There were also traces of settlements, maybe it was a large settlement period beginning 1 tys.n.e. - The beginning of the 2nd tys.n.e.
Mound and mounds repeatedly examined by archaeologists and ethnographers.
