A "natural" stone exhibiting two peculiar holes (proclaimed shaped like horse-shoes) in its upper surface.
Various legends imply the existence of a (very) putative treasure.
Varnupių akmuo is not easily seen from the road 2605, but much better from the top of nearby Varnupių piliakalnis (Varnupių piliakalnis), which stands visibly about 150 to its NE and is signposted at (54.4869, 23.5336). Please be aware that the stretch of land to the North of the road are agricultural private fields ; a (faint) path is provided from the road to the mound.
Varnupių akmuo was declared national archaeological cultural heritage in 1972.
