Grodzisko Zembrzyce

This impressive promontory fort occupies a forest-covered promontory which constitutes the eastern end of the massif of Góra Zamczysko (Zamczysko mountain), near Krakow. The fort, elongated in shape, is protected by a ditch to the south and west, and at the north by a steep slope.

The interior of the fort is divided into two parts with a deep (partly rock-cut) ditch. A limited area of the hillfort suggests its primarily defensive significance.

The site was occupied from the Early Iron Age, as confirmed by pottery of the Lusatian culture. The earthworks of the promontory fort are probably early medieval.

grodzisko -- implies a great or powerful (and walled) settlement. Great and powerful maybe because it is well defended, or maybe just big in size, or both.
The same goes for zamczysko, in this case describing a castle or fort (Pol. zamek)
