Standing Stone in Nordland
On the highest point of the Ballstadneset is a small and pretty standing stone. The stone is standing on a small mound around 6 metres across and around 0,5 metres in height that could be the remains of a small round barrow. Over the years there have been dumped some smaller stones and earth around the stone so it was originally higher.
The stone is today around 1,70 metres in height, around 35cm wide and around 20cm thick. The top ends in a small point. The stone is standing close to a small barn building but to the west and south and south west is a very nice view over Tjeldsund.
